ConsumerAffairs is nothing without our all-star team. Every now and then, we like to feature the employees who go above and beyond, helping us achieve our mission of helping consumers and brands make smart decisions.
Today, we're meeting up with Joy Bennett from our Client Success team. Joy has been with ConsumerAffairs for four years and is dedicated to helping our partner brands succeed.
Here's a little more about what makes Joy great!
What is your favorite thing about being a Client Success Manager?
My favorite thing about working in Client Success is helping companies understand and analyze customer feedback. I love when companies welcome negative feedback and use it to actually make improvements in their business. It's also great to help brands understand what parts of their product/services customers love and rave about so they can capitalize on that success and continue to satisfy their customers time and time again.
Tell us about some of your favorite things.
Great Danes (I have two -- Lincoln and Everest), pizza, traveling, Justin Timberlake, NYC, shopping and massages.
What do you love about living in Tulsa?
I'm not a Tulsa native, but I've lived here for over 10 years. In that relatively short amount of time, I've watched Tulsa grow like crazy. It's exciting to be part of a city that can really compete with major cities like Dallas or San Francisco, but has such a low cost of living so I can live comfortably and afford to take vacations.
Which app on your phone do you use the most?
Starbucks - Mobile ordering changed my life.
What is your favorite quote?
"Strive for progress, not perfection."
Favorite ConsumerAffairs perk?
My favorite ConsumerAffairs perk is a combo of the unlimited PTO and the yearly vacation stipend. It's great to be a part of a company that not only encourages you to take time off to recharge, but pays you extra to do it!
Tell us about a recent vacation.
One of my brothers lives in Johannesburg, South Africa and I was able to go visit him and his family a few years ago. It was so cool to experience different cultures and see how my brother's family lives abroad. We got to go on a safari, visit an elephant sanctuary, wrestle with lion cubs and make a ton of unforgettable memories. Next time we go, we'll be making a trip down to Cape Town to go cage diving with the sharks!
What was your first job?
My first job was scooping ice cream at Friendly's. :)
If you were an ice cream, what flavor would you be and why?
Jimmy Fallon's Ben & Jerry's "The Tonight Dough". It's a mash up of chocolate and caramel ice creams filled with chunks of chocolate chip cookie dough and peanut butter cookie dough, so there's a spoonful of "yum" in every bite, but it's a surprise every time!
